BLOOM by Bethesda is part of our memory care program. Based on extensive research, this program helps residents and families transition to memory care services through what we call Wellness Petals. Bloom positively impacts the lives of those in memory care by providing personal and compassionate care that focuses on enrichment and well-being.
With BLOOM, our residents stay active in each Wellness Petal. This can slow the progression of Alzheimer’s or dementia and ease its effects. To help manage anxiety, wandering, and sundowner syndrome, BLOOM trains our Care Partners to personalize their approach to each resident.
Additionally, our communities offer various gardening areas, social settings, physical activities, and spiritual programs designed to care for and support individuals with dementia and their families.
Assisted living and memory care cater to different needs for our residents. Assisted living focuses on helping residents with daily activities like meal preparation and medication management, fostering independence while ensuring safety. In contrast, memory care specializes in supporting individuals with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia. This tailored environment offers structured routines, trained staff for personalized support, and secure spaces designed to enhance comfort and dignity—making it a vital choice for those seeking compassionate memory care.
Recognizing the need for memory care support can be subtle yet profound. Look for signs like repeated questions, confusion about time or place, difficulty managing daily tasks, or changes in mood and behavior. If your loved one struggles with these challenges, it may be time to explore compassionate memory care options together. Learn more about our approach to memory care through our unique program, Bloom by Bethesda.
